An Artistic Residence in the City of Chania.

Residence x is a multifunctional Architecture proposal in Chania Greece.

The proposal presents an artistic, ethereal landscape defined by fluid geometries that seem to emerge organically from the surrounding terrain. The design emphasizes harmony with the natural environment, creating a seamless flow between the indoors and outdoors.

The residence is organized across two distinct levels:

• Ground Floor: A communal hub that includes a living room, dining area, kitchen, and entertainment spaces, along with leisure facilities. This floor is designed for both relaxation and socializing, offering an open, airy layout that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living.

• First Floor: Reserved for privacy and tranquility, the upper level houses master bedroom suites and expansive exterior terraces. These terraces provide sweeping views of the lush surroundings, allowing residents to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the locale.

The exterior is a serene sanctuary, enriched with local greenery, including olive trees, palm trees, and native gardens. These natural elements enhance the overall sense of calm, while various outdoor spaces invite residents and guests to enjoy the peaceful environment.

Set to be completed in 2023, Residence X aims to redefine contemporary living in Chania by merging traditional Cretan elements with modern architectural innovation. It offers a unique blend of cultural reverence and cutting-edge design, making it a beacon of future-forward yet contextually respectful architecture in the region.
